LOVES PARK, Ill. - Brandon Cohen hit two home runs and Kyle Wright pitched his sixth complete game of the season on Wednesday as the Rockford RiverHawks beat Evansville, 14-2, at Road Ranger Stadium.

Cohen was 3-for-6 with seven RBI and two drives over the center-field fence. He hit a grand slam in the fifth inning. In the seventh, Cohen hit a two-run shot over the batter's eye for his fifth home run of the year.

Wright (10-1) struck out nine and walked two. He became the fourth pitcher in team history to win at least 10 games in a season. He's completed more starts in a single season than anybody in team history. Bryan Batthauer and Jason Shelley each pitched five complete games in 2002.

Wright gave up an unearned run in the first inning and a leadoff home run by Matt Schneider in the fifth.

Rockford scored four two-out runs in the first inning to take a 4-1 lead. Cohen tied the game with a double off the fence in left. Ross McCoy doubled in two runs and scored on Doug Sanders' single to left.

The RiverHawks have won five of six games on the current homestand. The finale is at 7:05 p.m. on Thirsty Thursday. It's Miller Lite/104.9 - the X Dollar Beer Night. The Eighth Annual BlackHawk Bank Doctors-Lawyers Game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
