MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings have acquired center Greg Koehler from the Nashville Predators for future considerations and have assigned him to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings Senior Vice President/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.
The Kings also today activated center Brad Chartrand off of the injured reserve list and placed center Michael Cammalleri on the injured reserve list. In addition, they recalled forwards Jared Aulin, Scott Barney and Ryan Flinn, and defenseman Joe Corvo from the Monarchs. The Monarchs today recalled goaltender B.J. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario, leads the club with eight power play goals. Koehler, who has played one career NHL regular season game (with the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2000-01 season), was signed by the Predators as a free agent on July 15, 2002. He will wear jersey number 8 for the Monarchs.
The Kings next take on the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday, February 5 at STAPLES Center beginning at 7:30 p.m. (10:30 p.m. EST). The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Net, ESPN Radio 710-KSPN and along the Kings Radio Network.
