
Dora the Explorer to Visit War Memorial on Wednesday, February 19

Syracuse, NY (February 4, 2003) â The Syracuse Crunch and Time Warner Cable announced today that their Wednesday, February 19 game against the Hershey Bears will be Dora the Explorer Night.
The popular star of Nick Jr's "Dora the Explorer" show, Dora the Explorer will be on hand February 19 to visit with Crunch fans.
In each episode, the bilingual Dora and her sidekick, Boots, along with her backpack and map, overcome nemesis Swiper the Fox and other obstacles.
One of the more interactive shows on television, âDora the Explorer' teaches children basic Spanish words and phrases, along with math and music skills and physical coordination. Children also learn how to observe situations and solve problems.
Dora will be available at the February 19 game, during intermissions and post-game in Memorial Hall.
The first 1,000 children, 12 and under, in attendance will receive a Dora the Explorer sticker and one lucky fan will receive a Dora the Explorer doll, courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
The Crunch travel to Rochester on Wednesday, February 5 for a 7:05 p.m. match-up. Crunch action can be heard on SportsRadio 620 WHEN with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott. The Crunch return to the War Memorial on Friday, February 14 to host the St. John's Maple Leafs. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter box office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
