
Grenier recalled by Phoenix

Springfield, MA â The Springfield Falcons announced today that the Phoenix Coyotes have recalled defenseman Martin Grenier from the Springfield Falcons. Grenier will join the Coyotes in Phoenix as they prepare to travel to L.A. on Wednesday to battle the Kings.
Grenier has played in 48 games with the Falcons this season collecting two goals and five assists for seven points and 172 penalty minutes. Grenier leads Springfield in penalty minutes this season.
This is Grenier's first recall to the Coyotes this season. He played in five games with Phoenix last season not registering a point. He made his NHL debut on October 11, 2001 at Chicago. The 6-foot-5, 247-pound native of Laval, Quebec signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on June 5, 2001.
The Falcons return to action on Wednesday night as they travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators. Springfield returns home this weekend when they host Lowell on Friday night and Manitoba on Saturday night. Game time is 7:35 PM for both games.
