Kinasewich Becomes All-Time Utah Leading Goal Scorer In Late Loss

West Valley City, Utah - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies 5-3 Saturday night at the E-Center. Utah captain Ryan Kinasewich became the team's all-time leading goal scorer with his 112th goal as a Grizzlies player at 14:32 of the second period, tying the game at two.

The Grizzlies captain then gave Utah a 3-2 lead 2:24 later on his 113th career goal.

Nearly $13,000 was raised in the post-game pink jersey auction with all proceeds going to fight breast cancer following the team's 4th annual "Pink in the Rink" game.

Utah was unable to hold a 3-2 third period lead as the Steelheads improved to 5-0 in the win; scoring three unanswered goals, including an empty-netter with 1:01 remaining.

Kinasewich, with two goals and one assist, was joined by Dustin Friesen and Matt Caria who each had two assists, including both of their first professional points.

Mitch O'Keefe stopped 18 of 22 shots in his Utah debut.

The Grizzlies open a two-game road trip Thursday in Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.

Utah returns home Wednesday, November 4 and Friday, November 6 to host the Steelheads again.
