Las Vegas opened the scoring in the last second of the first period with a power-play goal from defenseman Jason Krischuk. Krischuk let off a shot from the point that just beat the buzzer to give the Wranglers the 1-0 lead.
The Aces pulled even early in the second period with a power-play goal from Matt Stefanishion. Stefanishion snuck a back-hand shot through the pads of Ouzas to tie the game at 1:44 of the middle frame.
In the third period, Las Vegas took a 2-1 lead at 1:56 with a goal from Josh Prudden. Defenseman Craig Switzer and Ned Lukacevic set up Prudden's power-play goal. Less than a minute later, Adam Miller tallied his second goal on the season to give the Wranglers the 3-1 lead. Alaska cut the Las Vegas lead to 4-3 with Derek Martin's first goal on the year at 12:44. Martin darted in low and flipped in a Scott Burt rebound to bring Alaska within one. Ned Lukacevic gave the Wranglers lead some padding with a goal at 14:38 of the third period. Lukacevic ripped a shot past Aces goalie Scott Reid to give the Wranglers the 5-3 lead. Las Vegas sealed the deal at 18:25 with Adam Miller tallying an empty-net goal for his second goal of the night, to give the Wranglers a 6-3 win.
