Reign Falls To Thunder, 3-0

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, was defeated by the Stockton Thunder, 3-0, Saturday evening at Stockton Arena before 6,155 fans.

Stockton came out of the gate first in the second match of a back-to-back road series. At 4:05 in the first period, left wing Garet Hunt beat Ontario netminder Curtis Darling with a wraparound goal through the five-holewith assists from right wing Chris Davis and right wing Riley Emmerson. The Thunder took an early 1-0 lead over the Reign.

Defenseman Kenny MacAulay extended the Thunder lead to two-goals at 10:48. Left wing Judd Blackwater sent a centering feed to MacAulay, who sent a wrister past Darling. Center Craig Valette also registered an assist on the play.

Stockton kept the score in their favor, 2-0, until 3:30 in the third period, when they added another goal to the board. Center Chris D'Alvise flipped the puck over the goal line on the right side of the net off assists from defensemen Daryl Marcoux and Ryan Constant. Stockton held off Ontario for the remainder of regulation, and went on to win the match with a final score of Thunder 3, Reign 0.
