
Killeen Assigned to Wheeling by Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - It was announced today that goaltender Patrick Killeen has been re-assigned to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In his second assignment with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this year, Killeen made his first AHL appearances of the 2011-12 season. The second-year netminder from Carp, Ontario went 2-2-0 with a 2.93 goals against average and an .871 save percentage in five contests for the Penguins. He has compiled a 17-11-2 record over 33 games with Wheeling this season, posting a 2.76 GAA and an .891 save%.
Last season during his rookie year, Killeen registered a 19-16-2 record in 40 contests with a 2.87 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Pittsburgh's sixth-round pick (180th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Killeen recorded a 63-48-15 record during four seasons with the OHL's Brampton Battalion.
