May 23, 2007 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
May 23, 2007 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels raised over $2,700 for the ALS Association, Iowa Chapter, through a silent auction of special pinstripe jerseys worn by the Kernels during Tuesday's game.
The jersey night was co-sponsored by local TV stations CBS-2 and Fox 28.
Following the game, the winning bidders went down to the Kernels dugout to pick up their jersey and have the player sign it for them.
The Cedar Rapids Kernels have raised over one million dollars for local charities and organizations and continue to play a large role in local fundraising efforts.
