Loons to Visit Local Schools

The Dow Chemical Company is sponsoring the Loons' Student Heroes Program, where 200 Loons' tickets have been donated to area schools by Dow and will be given away at assemblies held at local elementary schools.
The first edition of the Student Heroes Program takes place on Thursday at Washington Elementary in Bay City at 10am. On Friday, the program will take place at Floyd Elementary in Bullock Creek at 2pm. The Student Heroes Program will also take place at Longfellow and Stone Elementary Schools in Saginaw.
Tickets will be given out to students who may not have been able to attend Loons' games this season. Dow will also provide transportation to the games for those students in need. At these assemblies, the Loons will be providing entertainment such as Loons trivia, art projects, and readings of Casey at the Bat. Loons' mascot Lou E. Loon will be on hand to sign autographs as well as take pictures.
