Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, CA - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League announced today the return of the Kelly's Heroes program for the 2002-03 season.

Kelly's Heroes is designed to help others enjoy the excitement of Condors hockey, by providing free tickets for disabled and underprivileged children and their families. Sponsored by KGET-TV and Coleman Homes, a block of 20 seats will be set aside for each Condors home game for Kelly's Heroes. The attending groups will be recognized through a P.A. announcement during the game, and have the opportunity to meet with Condors Head Coach Paul Kelly on the night of the game.

The tickets will be donated to the United Way, who will select which group will receive the tickets for each game. Interested groups should contact Condors Director of Community Relations John Ayre for information about signing up.

"This is an exciting opportunity for a lot of fans who might not otherwise be able to come out to a game," said Ayre. "Not only do they get to see a Condors game, but they also have the chance to meet Paul Kelly, and really make it a night to remember. We're happy to be able to continue the Kelly's Heroes program.

Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden.
