Charleston, WV (June 29, 2010) - The West Virginia Power announced today that the festivities for Saturday, July 3rd will now include Military Appreciation Night and a Robert C. Byrd Tribute.
As a part of Military Appreciation Night all current and former military personnel will receive free admission with proof of service. The immediate family members of the service men and women will also receive free admission.
"Military Appreciation Night was made possible by West Virginia Radio and 96.1 The Wolf," stated Executive Vice President Andy Milovich. "We have a great relationship with them and they have always been willing to help make promotions such as this one a possibility and a success."
In addition to providing free tickets to military personnel, the Power and WV Radio are also partnering on a food drive to benefit Mountain Mission while paying tribute to Senator Byrd. The first 300 fans to donate ten cans of food or $10.00 to the cause will receive a commemorative Robert C. Byrd figurine. The figurine is a replica of the statue located at the state capitol. The July 4th Celebration will conclude Saturday night with a post-game fireworks show courtesy of AT&T.
For tickets and information please contact the Power Front Office at 304-344-BATS (2287).
