May 23, 2013 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
Rockies middle infielder Josh Rutledge will join the Sky Sox at the start of a huge Memorial Weekend home stand. Eight games in a row at Security Service Field starts tomorrow, Friday, May 24 and Rutledge will be making his Sky Sox debut. The young infielder had originally jumped over the Sky Sox last year as he went right from Double-A to the Rockies. In 73 games last year, he hit .274 with 20 doubles, eight homers and 37 RBI. This is your chance to see him here up close and personal in Colorado Springs.
The home stand is also full of amazing promotions and giveaways for the entire family. We kick things off with Friday Night Fireworks on May 24 and then have back-to-back giveaways on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will feature a digi-camo baseball cap giveaway to the first 1,000 fans and Sunday will be a digi-camo youth jersey to the first 1,000 kids 12 & under. Both of these camo giveaways are literally the best the Sky Sox have ever given away so fans will want to make sure they get here early. The home stand continues with Jimmy Buffett Night on Wednesday, May 29 and then wraps up with two exciting promotions. Thursday, May 30 will be the Sky Sox first ever flat screen TV giveaway where nine lucky fans will leave the game with a brand new flat screen TV! We wrap up the home stand with another Friday Night Fireworks as we send things out with a big bang!
