Joey MacDonald to the Red Wings

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League have recalled goaltender Joey MacDonald.
Joey, the 2001-2002 Toledo Storm MVP, was set to leave for Toledo when he was informed that he will be going to Buffalo instead to back up Curtis Joseph, who was also recalled by the Red Wings. The moves by the Detroit were prompted by injuries to goaltenders Dominick Hasek and Manny Legace.
MacDonald, has spent the entire season to date with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.
