Big Weekend ahead for Grrrowl at BI-LO Center

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced that this weekend's games will be packed with entertainment for all ages for back-to-back games at the BI-LO Center. The Grrrowl will host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:05pm on Saturday evening, and the Roanoke Express will visit Greenville on Sunday afternoon for a 3:05pm start.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2003 @ 7:05PM
Church Night; features a post-game on-ice concert by Contemporary Christian and Dove Award winning group, AVALON.
Appearance by the world-famous inflatable ZOOperstars! (Including "Whale Gretzky", "Mario Lemule", "Bobby Orrangutang", and others); the ZOOperstars will entertain the crowd during both intermissions.
4th Annual Teddy Bear Toss to benefit "Toys for Tots"; fans are asked to bring a new un-wrapped Teddy Bear to be tossed on the ice when the Grrrowl score their first goal; members of the US Marine Corp will be on hand to collect the Teddy Bears and distribute them to local charities; representatives from AVON will be on hand to sell Teddy Bears for those fans who forget to bring one â on sale for $5-$10, with all proceeds going directly to "Toys for Tots"
Prudential D. Dan Joyner Real Estate "Follow The Leader" ceremonial puck drop to honor Brad Kelley (Youth Minister at Mountain Creek Baptist Church who is the nine-time World Powerlifting Champion, and has a personal best bench press of 652lbs. During a competition in 2002; won the Gold Medal in the 1994 Goodwill Games in Russia)
The Sports Marketing Class from Easley High School will be on hand to participate in the production of the game as part of a class project that includes solicitation of sponsorship from Donnie Patterson with "Patterson Tax Service"; they will handle execution of the "Patterson Tax Service" Pass-the-Puck competition between two section during the game that will compete for discount tax services by "Patterson Tax Service".
The Grrrowl Soundstage, presented by Charter Communications and MetroBeat will feature live music by "Jethro's Advice" during pre-game, intermissions and post-game on the concourse
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2003 @ 3:05PM
Kid's Day; all kid's (12 and under) receive $5 tickets anywhere in the seating area Family Four Pack (4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 Pepsi) for $40
Post-game Skate; fans who bring their own skates are allowed to skate on the ice at the BLC following the game
Season Ticket Holder Meet the Team Party at "The Gathering Spot" from 6-8pm; exclusive party for Season Ticket Holders only!
Greenville will be on the road for a 7:35pm game with the Augusta Lynx at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center on Friday, December 12th, before returning home for the weekend contests against South Carolina and Roanoke.
