McVicar Recalled to Manitoba

Columbia, SC, December 10, 2003— Head Coach Scott White announces that our American Hockey League affiliate Manitoba Moose recalled goaltender Rob McVicar. The Moose play the Senators tonight in Binghamton, New York.

The 21-year old native of Brandon, Manitoba has played 10 games for the Inferno recording a 6-2-1 record, 2.76GAA and a save percentage of .907. He was called up earlier this season by the Moose on November 11 but did not get any game action. McVicar was the Vancouver Canuck's fifth choice, 151st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Former Inferno goaltender Alex Auld was recalled to the Vancouver Canucks. Last season, Auld played seven games in the NHL and recorded a 3-3-0 record.

Alex Burrows and Brandon Nolan were also recalled to the Moose after Friday night's game.

The Columbia Inferno will play the Florida Everblades this weekend and back home on Friday, December 19th to face the Roanoke Express at 7:30pm.
