Jets Re-Assign Halischuk; Activate Scheifele

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have re-assigned forward Matt Halischuk to the Moose.

Halischuk, 27, was recalled by the Jets on Dec. 17 and played in seven games this season, but did not register a point. Halischuk has played 24 games for the Manitoba Moose this season, recording six points (3G, 3A) and six penalty minutes. Halischuk spent the 2014-15 season with the Jets and had eight points (3G, 5A) in 47 games. Winnipeg claimed Halischuk off waivers prior to the 2013-14 season and has a total of 18 points (8G, 10A) in 100 career games with the Jets. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round, 117th overall at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Winnipeg Jets' centre Mark Scheifele has been activated from the injured reserve list. Scheifele has been on injured reserve since December 26 with a concussion, missing three games. On the season, he has 22 points (12G, 10A) in 34 games.
