QUOTES
"It was huge to get this win. To come back from break and face the crazy schedule we had, it was important to us to finish this run at .500 after falling in the hole the first three games. This was a great stretch for us and we're looking forward to a day off for sure." - Kenny Agostino on playing six games in nine days, winning the final three.
"It's huge for our confidence and we're really looking for this to be the turning point in our season. All we can do is keep going. We have to rest up and we have some guys that are a little beat up from this stretch, so we're just looking forward to the game Wednesday and getting a win in San Jose." - Agostino on the three-game win streak and what it does to the team's confidence level.
"I thought everybody from [Joni Ortio] out played a pretty good game tonight. When you go through a stretch like we did, you know everyone is banged up and tired, so I thought tonight showed a lot of character from everyone." - Derek Grant on his thoughts of tonight's win.
"We just try and get pucks in behind their defense. Obviously [Ryan Lomberg] goes to work in the corners and he's able to get the pucks for [Turner Elson] and I to make our jobs a lot easier. We do a great job of finding each other and finding the open areas to support each other." - Grant on the development of his line with Turner Elson, Ryan Lomberg and himself.
"Every win is big at this point in the season when we're trying to claw our way back into the standings. For the most part I liked the way we played tonight. We had a good commitment to our own zone tonight and we were able to score a timely goal on the power play, which has been something we've looked for all year." - Head Coach Ryan Huska on his overall thoughts of tonight's game.
"As a coach, you always focus on the process and doing the right things. We have to make some improvements in how we defend as a team. We saw some steps in the right direction this past week. It's a positive for us for sure, but we have to continue to get better because the league takes another step and the games get more intense. We have to be sharp with our details. This is a step in the right direction for us though for sure." - Coach Huska on taking three of the four games this past week.
