NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -Two big victories, including his second shutout of the season, helped snag the Central Hockey League's (CHL) goaltender of the week award for Brett Jaeger for the week of February 7-13.

Jaeger earned his fourth and fifth consecutive victories in net with pivotal wins over the Laredo Bucks and Allen Americans last week. On Friday, the Peace River, ALTA native closed the door on 32 shots against the Bucks for his second shutout of the season. His strong play helped catapult Texas into the third place position in the South over Laredo. On Saturday, Jaeger gave up just a single goal against the Allen Americans in a 4-1 win. The netminder stopped 30 shots in the win to improve his record to 14-10-1 for the year.

The man in the mask has a remarkable 1.40 GAA in his past five games following his big games this past weekend. This is Jaeger's second time to be honored for the weekly award; the first came in the week of December 6-12.

Last season the Jaeger led the CHL in save percentage in the regular season (.929) and sat atop the leader board in the post season with a 2.20 GAA and a.930 save %. His stellar play led the Texas Brahmas to their first Championship, winning the President's Cup in May.

Jaeger and the Brahmas return home Friday night when they host the Wichita Thunder for a 7:05 PM start. On Saturday Texas will take on Southern Conference foe, Odessa Jackalopes, for a 7:05 PM faceoff. For tickets please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or log on to: www.brahmas.com.
