Tulsa Oilers News Release
Mavs & Bugs: The Tulsa Oilers have their second straight four game week, but will face only two different teams this week, in a pair of home and home series. The Oilers host the Missouri Mavericks Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. and visit Missouri Thursday at 7:05 p.m. The next night the Oilers will travel to Bossier-Shreveport for another 7:05 p.m. contest. They will host the Mudbugs Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All games can be heard via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and viewed at CHL TV.
Big Finish: After a 4-3 loss to Colorado and a 2-1 overtime loss at Allen, the Oilers returned home to the BOK Center and their winning ways with a 3-2 overtime win over Mississippi, and a 6-3 win over Amarillo to wrap up the week.
Riding Riedel: Left wing Dan Riedel had points in all four games last week stretching his point streak to six games. He has three goals and four assists over that stretch and now has 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points.
Coming Alive: The Oilers power play showed sparks last week as the Oilers had a power play goal in each of the four games. For the week the Oilers were 4-for-15 in the four games, 26.7 percent efficiency.
Special Stuff: Team captain Tyler Butler scored a shorthanded goal against Amarillo on Saturday night. It was his seventh goal of the season, and all have come on special teams. His first six goals of the season were power play goals.
Double Dip: Sunday's game will feature a Tulsa hockey first, a doubleheader as prior to the Oilers game, the Tulsa Rampage Junior A hockey team will play the Boulder Bison. Doors will open at the BOK Center for the Rampage game at noon, with the game to start at 12:30. Fans will need a ticket for the Oilers game with Bossier-Shreveport to attend the Rampage game.
