ELMIRA, NY - December 26, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, resume play following the holiday break at home tonight against the Reading Royals.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Tonight the Jackals return from their Holiday Break to face-off against the Reading Royals in their third consecutive meeting. Before the break, the Jackals traveled to Santander Arena for a two-game set and came away with a 1-1 record. Friday's 5-2 win pushed the Jackals' winning streak to seven games, but Saturday's 2-0 shutout loss snapped the streak, which was the longest active streak in the ECHL at the time. On Friday, Niklas Lundstrom stopped 32 shots for his fifth consecutive win while Jacob MacDonald, Tyler Currier, Mark Bennett, Spiro Goulakos and Justin Kea provided the goal scoring. The next night C.J. Motte was out-dueled by Adam Morrison; despite giving up just one goal on 35 shots faced, Motte and the Jackals fell 2-0 with an empty-net goal. Tonight's meeting marks the eighth of 12 overall this season and the third of six at First Arena. The Jackals lead the DeMet's Candy Cup Challenge season series 4-3.
