Jackals Make a Flurry of Moves Following Holiday Freeze

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Guy LeBoeuf from the Brampton Beast to complete the future considerations owed to Elmira from the Scott Jacklin trade.

LeBoeuf, 26, is a third year pro from Bedford, Quebec. The 6-foot-5 215-pound blueliner brings 95 games of professional experience, including 14 in the AHL, with him to Elmira from Brampton. LeBoeuf turned pro with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL in 2013-14 following the completion of his collegiate career at R.P.I. Last season, he split the campaign between the Missouri Mavericks, South Carolina Stingrays and Brampton Beast.

In other Jackals news, forward Colin Jacobs has been reassigned from Elmira by the Buffalo Sabres to the Rochester Americans. A fourth round draft pick by Buffalo in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Jacobs is tied for third on the Jackals with 17 points and is tied for second with 11 assists in 25 games played.

Additionally, the Jackals announced today that they have lifted the team suspension on Tyler Maxwell and have traded him to the Toledo Walleye to complete the future considerations owed to Toledo from the Kevin Clare trade.

To cap a busy day for the Jackals, forward Taylor Stefishen has been activated from the 21-day IR and has been added to the active roster.
