
Jackals Make Final Visit to Verizon Wireless Arena in Sunday Meeting with Manchester

MANCHESTER, NH - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, carry a six-game winning streak into Manchester, N.H. for a Sunday meeting with the Monarchs. This will mark the final visit to Verizon Wireless Arena this season for the Jackals.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Today the Jackals venture north to Manchester, N.H. for their final road contest at Verizon Wireless Arena. Elmira is 2-2-0 in the Monarchs' home building this season. This meeting will be the third Sunday contest in Manchester between the Jackals and Monarchs. The Jackals held a 2-1 lead going into the third period of the previous meeting but two special teams goals by Manchester handed the Jackals their first regulation loss this season when leading after two periods. Elmira has a record of 21-1-2 when leading after 40 minutes of play. In the previous meeting, Allan McPherson recorded his first career hat trick in a four-point day leading the Jackals past Manchester on Super Bowl Sunday, 5-4. The line of McPherson, Cason Hohmann and Chris Langkow was responsible for all five Jackals' goals en route to the victory. Chris Langkow recorded a goal and two assists and Cason Hohmann posted a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to nine games.
