ELMIRA, NY - November 14, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, host the Brampton Beast tonight in Nathan Oystrick's 500th professional game.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Tonight's matchup marks the second of 11 meetings overall and the second of six at First Arena this season. The first matchup this year occurred back on October 17th at First Arena and the Jackals remained perfect on home ice against the Beast with a 4-2 victory. Cason Hohmann, Mike Seidel, Allan McPherson and Matt Garbowsky scored for Elmira while Sam Marotta stopped 19 shots to earn the victory. Last year, these two teams met six times and the Jackals were victorious in five of the meetings, including a sparkling 3-0 record at First Arena.

? Player/assistant coach, captain and veteran defenseman Nathan Oystrick is playing in his 500th professional game tonight. He recorded 65 NHL games, 86 games in the KHL, 338 contests in the AHL and 10 games in the ECHL. In 499 pro games Oystrick has totaled 252 points (75 goals, 177 assists) and 701 penalty minutes. Oystrick was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round (#198 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on October 14th, 2008 with the Thrashers against the Minnesota Wild.
? Forward Mike Seidel has five goals and six points in the last seven contests. The Darien, IL native leads the Jackals with six goals and ranks second with eight points.
? Newly-signed veteran defenseman Nick Petrecki earned an assist in his first game with the Jackals last night. The 6-foot-3 240-pound blueliner is a seventh-year with 312 pro games, 50 points and 617 penalty minutes under his belt.
