(Manchester, NH) A.J. Jenks and Shane Berschbach each picked up three points as the Walleye blasted the Monarchs 6-2 in Manchester Saturday night. The win snapped a three game losing streak for the Walleye. Toledo has an overall record of 5-5-0-1 and is 5-4-0-1 on the road.

Toledo picked up the early lead with a power play goal from Alden Hirschfeld at 5:54 of the first period. The team leading 5th goal of the season for Hirschfeld came on the power play. Manchester tied the game at one with a rebound goal at 9:03 of the first. At 11:15 A.J. Jenks picked up his 3rd goal of the year when he jumped on a rebound and beat goaltender Patrick Bartosak. The second goal of the game for Maxim Kitsyn tied the game at two late in the first period.

Shane Berschbach (4th) started a big second period for the Walleye when his wrist shot beat Bartosak at 2:50 of the second. For a second consecutive night, Kyle Bonis (3rd) scored a goal as his one-timer found the back of the net at 4:55. The second power play goal of the night came at 7:12 of the period on a turnaround shot from Austin Wuthrich (1st).

In the third period, goaltender Jake Paterson stopped a breakaway from Kitsyn around thirteen minutes into the third period to keep Toledo in front by three. The ensuing rush up the ice saw another power play goal for the Walleye as Joel Chouinard fired a shot from the blue line that was tipped by A.J. Jenks at 13:22.

Walleye Notes: Goaltender Jake Paterson stopped 36 of the 38 shots he faced and his record is 2-3-0 on the season. The first period power play goal stopped a 0-23 streak with the power play that lasted five games. The power play finished three for four in the game. The goal in the second period from Austin Wuthrich was his first professional goal.
