Jackals Acquire ECHL Rights to Eizenman

October 8, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced Friday that they have acquired the ECHL rights to forward Oren Eizenman from the Stockton Thunder in exchange for future considerations and have added him to their training camp roster. Eizenman had been assigned to the Jackals by their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, earlier this week.

Eizenman enters his fourth professional season after skating most of 2009-2010 with Stockton, checking in third on the team with 59 regular-season points (21g-38a) and leading the Thunder with 19 points and 16 assists in 15 postseason games.

In his rookie season of 2007-2008, the Toronto, Ontario native topped the Fresno Falcons with 66 points (27g-39a).

Eizenman has AHL experience with five teams, most recently in 2009-2010 with Milwaukee, skating seven games for the Admirals and recording an assist.

Before his professional career, Eizenman skated four seasons at R.P.I. (NCAA, D-1) and was top five on the Red Hawks in scoring during each of his final three seasons.

The Jackals close out the preseason tonight at 7:35 p.m. against the Trenton Devils at First Arena.
