IronPigs Look to Take over First Place on Sunday

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to take over first place in the North Division on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Pawtucket Red Sox. First pitch of the series finale from McCoy Stadium is set for 1:05 p.m.

With a win, Lehigh Valley would be in first place for the first time since July 19, 2012.

RHP David Buchanan (0-1, 4.91) gets the ball for the IronPigs on Sunday. The right-hander was tagged with the loss on Tuesday vs. Syracuse when he allowed three runs on four hits while walking three and fanning three over six innings of work. Over his two starts, lefties are hitting just .176 (3-17) against Buchanan.

RHP Sean O'Sullivan (2-1, 2.89) heads to the hill for manager Kevin Boles' squad in the series finale. O'Sullivan got the win on Tuesday at Rochester after giving up two runs on three hits to go along with two walks and five strikeouts in 6.2 IP. The former IronPig earned the win against Lehigh Valley on April 14 at Coca-Cola Park when he allowed one run on four hits over five innings of work.

IronPigs OF Cam Perkins has hit safely in his last eight games. Over that span, the Purdue University product is hitting .422-1-6 (13-28, 2 2B, 2 3B, 7 R).
