The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look for their third straight win on Saturday night when they take on the Toledo Mud Hens in the middle game of a three-game set. First pitch from Fifth Third Field is slated for 7:05 p.m.
RHP David Buchanan (1-2, 5.34) gets the ball for manager Dave Brundage's squad on Saturday. Buchanan got the win on Sunday at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre when he gave up four runs on four hits to go along with two walks and five strikeouts in 5.0 IP. The right-hander has worked at least five innings in each of his five starts this season.
RHP Buck Farmer (0-1, 4.70) will be on the bump for the Mud Hens opposite Buchanan. Farmer was tagged with the loss on Monday vs. Louisville when he allowed three runs on nine hits while fanning three in 2.2 IP. The Georgia Tech product has also appeared in five games with the Tigers and is 0-0 with a 2.16 ERA.
After a three-hit game on Friday, Pigs INF Darnell Sweeney has notched a multi-hit effort in five of his last 10 contests. In that time, Sweeney is hitting .351-0-1 (13-37, 4 2B, 3 BB, 5 R).
