Iowa Chops News Release
DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit confirmed this evening the dates and times for the Iowa Stars First Round games in the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Stars locked-up the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division portion of the Calder Cup Playoffs. By virtue of the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights 4-2 win over the Chicago Wolves on Sunday, the Iowa Stars will now face Omaha in the West Division's Semifinals.
The best-of-seven series has the first two games played on the road, before returning to Wells Fargo Arena for games three and four. Because Omaha is within 300 miles, the series is a 2-2-1-1-1 series, with Games Five through Seven all If Necessary. All of Iowa's home dates would have 7:00 PM face-offs.
