Iowa Energy Fall 116-107 to Oklahoma City

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy (7-5) fell 116-107 to the Oklahoma City Blue (2-11) Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Energy were led by Alex Stepheson with a double-double 25 points and 11 rebounds. Andrew Harrison added 23 points and eight rebounds. The Blue were led by JP Tokoto with 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

It was a close start to begin the first quarter. Mid-way through the quarter, the Blue opened up a 12-point lead behind nine points from JP Tokoto. The Energy were able to close the gap down to four points at the end of the quarter, trailing 31-27. Iowa was able to get the lead down to just two points with 8:57 left until halftime and kept it a close game until the closing three minutes of the half when the Blue opened up a lead to hold a 59-49 advantage at halftime.

The Blue continued to control the game in the third quarter. Oklahoma City opened up a 19-point lead with 1:54 left in the third as Iowa trailed 88-71 at the end of the quarter. Iowa continued to trail by a large margin for most of the fourth quarter. The Energy were able to shrink the lead down to just six points with 1:30 to play. Iowa was unable to complete the comeback and fell 116-107.

The Energy travel to Grand Rapids on Saturday and return home Wednesday, Dec. 23 for a holiday game and post-game concert. Tickets are only $10.17 and include a pop, popcorn, game and concert.
