Iowa Energy Announce "Can D.J. Dunk over You?" Promotion
April 1, 2016 - NBA G League (G League)
Iowa Wolves News Release
Des Moines, Iowa - Iowa Energy star D.J. Stephens is considered by many to be the best dunker in the basketball world. His recent highlight reel plays here in Des Moines make that statement hard to argue with. This Saturday, fans who Stephens can jump over can get a special ticket offer at the Energy game against Erie.
At the 2013 NBA Draft Combine, Stephens recorded the highest maximum vertical jump ever recorded by the NBA of 46 inches. Saturday night, any fans who measure 46 inches or less can get into the game for only $4.60. Fans that can stand under a picture of Stephens dunking will receive a voucher for a $4.60 ticket to the game. Measurements will be taken in the south ticket lobby of Wells Fargo Arena and vouchers can be redeemed at the box office.
Stephens was named the NBA Development League Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his three games during the week of March 21. On March 24, Stephens posted a dunk that was the top play of the night on ESPN's SportsCenter. Below is a link to the top play.
