Inferno paint the town Pink

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 12, 2008) - The Columbia Inferno are proud to announce the festivities for the Second Annual Pink in the Rink weekend, benefiting the Palmetto Health Foundation's First Ladies' Walk for Life.

The Inferno players will wear the special pink jerseys for a preview game on Thursday, Feb. 14 against the visiting Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:05 p.m. Two circle-level tickets to this game are available for a special price of $10 per package.

The Second Annual Pink in the Rink game will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 as the Inferno host the Mississippi Sea Wolves at 7:05 p.m. The first 1000 fans for this game will receive a pink tumbler and a pink glow necklace to commemorate the event. The pink necklaces are to be lit during the first intermission in memory or in honor of a breast cancer patient. Breast cancer survivors will then be invited onto the ice during the first intermission for a special recognition.

Special pink T-shirts, available in long sleeve ($15) and short sleeve ($10) versions, will be sold during both games. Six player jerseys are available for $1 raffles during the week, while the remaining jerseys will be auctioned following the Feb. 15 game. All proceeds will be given to the Palmetto Health Foundation's First Ladies' Walk for Life benefiting the Palmetto Health SC Comprehensive Breast Center.
