Impact Unveils Teams Participating in International U14 Qualification Tournament

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Friday the 16 teams that will participate in the International U14 Qualification Tournament, presented by Nutrilait. Eight teams are back for a second time in 2018, while another eight will get to live this experience for the first time.

The Impact will proceed with the International U14 Qualification Tournament group draw on Monday, March 19, at 12:15pm. You can watch it live on the Academy's Facebook page.

"This year, we have an interesting mix of teams, with some that will experience the competition for the first time and others that know what to expect," said the Montreal Impact Academy director Philippe Eullaffroy. "We are excited to see who the qualification tournament's new champion will be."

Here is the list of the participating teams for the 2018 edition of the tournament:

The tournament will be played at Centre Nutrilait, from April 20 to 22, 2018. The winner of the competition will get a spot in the International U14, presented by the Fédération des producteurs d'oeufs du Québec, from June 28 to July 1, also at Centre Nutrilait.

The winner will also get access to a mezzanine at Stade Saputo on May 5, for the game between the Impact and the New England Revolution, offered by the Fédération des producteurs d'oeufs du Québec.

In 2017, the Montreal-Nord Pumas won the competition and had the chance to play against the Montreal Impact, MLS clubs and Bologna FC from Serie A, at the International U14.
