
Krisztián Németh Called in to Hungary National Team

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution forward Krisztián Németh has been called in by the Hungary National Team for two upcoming friendlies in March. He will miss the Revolution's next MLS match against New York City FC on Saturday, March 24 (NBC Sports Boston - 1:30 p.m. ET).
Németh, 29, will join the Hungary squad on Sunday, March 18 before the first of two friendly matches on Friday, March 23 against Kazakhstan. Hungary will then face Scotland in a friendly match on Tuesday, March 27. Both matches will kick off at 2:00 p.m. ET at Groupama Arena in Budapest, Hungary.
Németh owns 32 career caps and three goals for Hungary in his senior international career. He was last named to Hungary's squad for a pair of international friendlies in November 2017, when he made two appearances and one start. In 2016, Németh played in three World Cup Qualifying matches and added two starts in EURO 2016. His first appearance at the senior level with Hungary came on May 29, 2010 in a friendly against Germany.
Since joining New England in August 2017, the Gyor, Hungary native has made seven MLS appearances, with three starts, and contributed one goal and one assist. For his MLS career, Németh has totaled 12 goals in 36 games including the MLS Cup Playoffs. In his 12-year club career outside of MLS, he amassed more than 205 appearances, 62 goals, and 43 assists.
