MLS Issues Disciplinary Committee Decisions

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Orlando City SC defender Victor "PC" Giro one additional match (two games total) and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 37th minute of Orlando's match against D.C. United on March 3 (VIDEO ). PC, who originally received a red card for the play, served his first suspension during the Lions' match on March 10 against Minnesota United FC, and will serve his second suspension on March 17 against New York City FC.

MLS Disciplinary Committee Decision: Week 2

Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis was found guilty of simulation/embellishment during the 59th minute of Houston's match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on March 10 (VIDEO). The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued Elis an undisclosed fine.

Preseason Discipline

Philadelphia Union midfielder Fabrice-Jean "Fafà" Picault and Orlando City SC midfielder Pierre da Silva were each issued a three-game suspension for use of offensive language during a preseason, doubleheader, closed-door scrimmage on February 14.

Picault served the first match of his three-game suspension during the Union's match on March 3 against the New England Revolution. The midfielder will serve his remaining two suspensions during Union matches on March 17 against Columbus Crew SC, and on March 31 against the Colorado Rapids.

Orlando's da Silva served the first two matches of his three-game suspension during Lions' matches on March 3 against D.C. United and on March 10 against Minnesota United FC. The midfielder will serve his third suspension on March 17 against New York City FC.
