December 18, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Indy Fuel News Release
The Evansville IceMen scored twice in the third period to defeat the Indy Fuel 2-1 at Ford Center on Friday night in the first half of a back-to-back set between the two teams.
Alex Wideman tied the game up just 1:08 into the third period for Evansville (10-13-2-0) before Jordan Sims notched the game-winning goal at 11:28. The comeback effort derailed a 20-save effort from Shane Owen, many in spectacular fashion.
Kyle Stroh opened the scoring just 4:54 into the game with a wrist shot that beat Scott Greenham (28 saves) over the right shoulder to put the Fuel up. Garett Bembridge and Alex Lavoie picked up the assists on the goal, and for Lavoie he now has four points (2-2-4) in his last four games.
The same two teams go right back at it Saturday night at 8:15 ET in Evansville. The Morellis Cleaners Pre-game Show starts 15 minutes before every puck drop on CBS Sports 1430.
