Lafatyette, LAâ Louisiana IceGators news for the weekend of November 5-7, 2004:
Approximately 1,000 tickets remain for the home opener on Saturday, November 6 vs. Pensacola at 7:05pm. Tickets are available at the Cajundome Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. For more information please call the IceGators (337) 234-4423.
Project MAMA will officially begin to collect items for our troops overseas tomorrow at the first home game. A supply drop off point will be accepting donations in the lobby of the Cajundome before the game. Items requested by our local members of the military are:

The IceGators today announced the activation of Alex Materukhin to the team roster. Materukhin missed the first 2 games of the season due to immigration issues. To make room for Materukhin, John Evangelista was placed on the 7 day injured reserve.
30 Teams have entered the Reunion Week Golf Tournament on Wednesday, November 10, at Acadian Hills Golf Club. Proceeds from this event are to benefit Louisiana Amateur Hockey Association.
Tickets remain on sale for the IceGators "Welcome Home" banquet on Thursday, November 11, at the Manor in Cade. In addition to the entire 2004-05 IceGators team, ex-Gators, Bryan Schoen, Rob Weingartner, Doug Bonner, Ron Handy, and many more are expected to attend.
