Jacobson Placed On Injured Reserve; Cunningham Activated

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced today that right wing Lee Jacobson has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve, while right wing Bobby Cunningham has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve.

Jacobson, 23, ranks first in the ECHL with six major penalties and is fifth overall with 32 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4 and 230-pound Jacobson has appeared in six games this season with Mississippi and has an even plus/minus rating. A native of Chicago, Jacobson is in his second professional season and first year with Mississippi.

Cunningham, 29, missed four games while on injured reserve. A native of Delson, Quebec, Cunningham has one assist in two Sea Wolves games this season. The 6-foot-3 and 230-pound Cunningham is in his 10th pro season and signed with Mississippi as a free agent on August 18.

Cunningham and Mississippi take to the ice in a home-and-home series with the Gwinnett Gladiators beginning at 6:35 p.m. CT tomorrow at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia.

The Sea Wolves return home for a game at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday versus the Gladiators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Promotions include $2 hotdogs and $2 drafts from 6:30-8:30 p.m., a performance by True Worshippers. It's also Cellular South / WXXV Fox 25 Honor Roll Night, offering two free kids coupons for each Honor Roll student in Hancock, Harrison, Jackson and Stone Counties. In addition, there is a postgame party at Treasure Bay Casino.
