
Hay Named Captain, Neilson and Beckett Alternates

Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced today that forward Dwayne Hay has been named the team's captain and defenseman Corey Nielson and defenseman/forward Jason Beckett have been named alternate captains.
Hay is in his second season with the Ice Pilots and has picked up three points in the first three games with two goals and one assist. Hay was the leading goal scorer for the Ice Pilots last season with 29 goals and has played in the AHL and NHL (Calgary, Tampa Bay, Florida and Washington) in his career.
Neilson is in his second season with the Ice Pilots as he was the team's leading scorer last year with 78 points and was the ECHL's Defenseman of the Year. Neilson also was named First Team All ECHL last year and has picked up four points in the first three games this season with two goals and two assists.
Beckett has picked up two assists in the first three games with the Ice Pilots this season. He played in 72 games with Houston of the AHL last year scoring 4 goals, 7 assists for 11 points and picked up 168 penalty minutes. Beckett signed an NHL free agent contract with the Minnesota Wild on July 3, 2004.
The Ice Pilots will play home to the Louisiana IceGators tonight at 7:05 p.m. It is Military Appreciation Night. All military both active, retired and R.O.T.C. groups will receive $15 tickets for $10 by showing their military ID at the game. The Army Repel team will also be at the game.
The Ice Pilots also play home on Sunday vs. the Augusta Lynx at 5:05 p.m. It is "Family Day." Fans can purchase a family four pack which includes 4 upper level tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas for $44. A family four pack that includes $13 seats cost $56 and a family four pack that includes $15 seats cost $66.
Fans can purchase individual game tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketm aster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through www.icepilots.com. For group tickets, season tickets, birthday parties and corporate sponsorship information, fans can call the Ice Pilots at 432-7825.
The Ice Pilots will also play at
Louisiana tomorrow night, November 6 at 7:05 p.m. Fans will be able to watch the
game at www.icepilots.com on the pay per view webcast for $6. The game will also be
broadcast on AM 1620 and at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue.
