IceCats To Help Cancer Foundation

Worcester IceCats News Release


WORCESTER, MA- In support of their friends and neighbors, the IceCats, in partnership with the player's wives and girlfriends, Cytyc Corporation and 104.5 WXLO, announced a Pink Pucks campaign to benefit breast cancer research and awareness. Beginning Opening Night at Worcester's Centrum Centre on Saturday, October 11th, limited edition IceCats Pink Pucks will be available for $10. One hundred percent of the money raised will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Boston Affiliate.

The special Pink Pucks feature an IceCats logo, a pink ribbon and the text To Benefit Breast Cancer Research. IceCats player's wives and girlfriends will sell the limited edition pucks in the concourse at all October games. October is recognized as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Based in nearby Boxborough, Cytyc Corporation is committed to their mission of improving lives through innovative technologies for predicting and preventing cancer and other diseases. Similarly, the Susan G. Komen Foundation is committed to people making a difference. People who are dedicated to fighting breast cancer head-on by doing all that they can to eradicate this disease. The IceCats are pleased to join that fight.
