OPENING NIGHT IS FRIDAY

Everyone in attendance on Opening Night (Friday, Oct. 10) will receive a 2003-04 Phantoms magnetic schedule, courtesy of Toyota. From 5:00-7:00 p.m., don't miss the Phantoms Block Party outside the Wachovia Spectrum, complete with team inflatables, face painters & clowns, five radio stations broadcasting live, a moonbounce game for kids, bagpipers, purple snow-cones and the mysterious Purple People Greeters. The Blue Bell (Pa.) Elementary School Band will be playing on the concourse before the game and performing the national anthem, and be sure to check out the 40 winning pictures from this summer's season ticket book coloring contest on display. The 40 winning children will also take to the ice for pregame festivities.

SUNDAY IS FIRE SAFETY NIGHT

Sunday, Oct. 12 is Fire Safety Night, as the first 4,000 kids will receive a Fire Safety media packet containing a video tape, audio tape and coloring book, courtesy of Toyota. A fire truck will be on display outside the Spectrum and don't miss the firemen relay contest during the first intermission.

NEUMANN COLLEGE HOCKEY TEAMS TO PLAY ON SUNDAY

The Neumann College men's and women's ice hockey teams will play each other for the first time in school history on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. prior to the Phantoms-Norfolk Admirals 5:05 p.m. game at the Wachovia Spectrum. Neumann College has the only collegiate men's and women's ice hockey programs in the Delaware Valley.

CN8 TELEVISING SIX PHANTOMS GAMES THIS SEASON

The Phantoms are proud to announce that CN8, The Comcast Network, will be televising six games during the 2003-04 season. CN8, a leading regional news, sports and entertainment network, reaches 6.2 million homes spanning from Maine to Maryland. CN8's six-game package begins on Sunday, Dec. 28 at 5:00 p.m. ET, when the Phantoms host the Binghamton Senators at the Wachovia Spectrum. The schedule also features a Saturday afternoon showdown with the Milwaukee Admirals at the Wachovia Center on Jan. 31; road games in Hartford, Hershey and Manchester; and an important end-of-season home match-up with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, March 26. The CN8 broadcast team will include play-by-play announcer Mick Moninghoff and color commentators Orest Kindrachuk and Brad Park.

MEET THE TEAM PARTY SET FOR OCT. 14

Mark Tuesday, Oct. 14 on your calendars, as the entire Phantoms team and coaching staff will be at Dave & Buster's to meet the public. A special meet & greet in the Showroom with season ticket holders will take place from 6:00-7:00 p.m. before it opens up for everyone from 7:00-8:00. Dave & Buster's is located at 325 N. Columbus Blvd. in Philadelphia.

STEVENS ON ESPN RADIO

Head coach John Stevens will be a guest on ESPN Radio's Philly Sports Live (920 AM) this Thursday, Oct. 9 at 4:25 p.m.

"RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" BACK FOR THIRD SEASON

The Phantoms and WNJC (1360 AM) are proud to announce the return of the "Rumble with the Phantoms" show every Wednesday from 4:30-5:00 p.m. Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways.

"INSIDE THE PHANTOMS" ENTERS SECOND SEASON

The Phantoms are also pleased to begin the second year of "Inside the Phantoms," which airs every other Tuesday on WNJC (1360 AM) from 4:30-5:00 p.m. Hosted by David Unkle, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways.

FIRST JERSEY AUCTION SET FOR OCT. 19

The first of three jersey auctions will take place on Sunday, Oct. 19, when the Phantoms host the Syracuse Crunch. Philadelphia will be wearing special orange Halloween-themed jerseys with black spider webs that night before auctioning them off at Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant.

STUDENT TICKETS JUST $8 ON WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS

College and high school students with valid student IDs can attend all Phantoms games on Wednesdays and Fridays this season for just $8.
