St. John's IceCaps News Release
ST. JOHN'S - Charles Hudon sniped a pair and added an assist as the St. John's IceCaps blew out the Utica Comets 7-1 Sunday at Mile One Centre.
Morgan Ellis, Nikita Scherbak and Michael McCarron all notched a goal and an assist. Ryan Johnston, who was reassigned from Montreal prior to the game along with fellow blueliners Joel Hanley and Darren Dietz, had two helpers and a team-best +6 rating.
Bud Holloway also picked up a pair of assists to break the IceCaps' franchise record for points in a season with 60, previously held by Jason Jaffray (59).
Jacob de la Rose scored for the second consecutive game, while Tim Bozon also found the back of the net for the home side. Eddie Pasquale made 30 saves in the win.
The six-goal win tied the largest margin of victory in franchise history, which had been achieved three times previously.
