CLEVELAND - In the fourth of four games between the two teams this season, Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters were defeated by the Rochester Americans at Quicken Loans Arena on Sunday by a final score of 2-0. With the loss, the Monsters fell to 40-22-6-5 overall this season and with a .623 points percentage, currently sit alone in third place in the AHL's Central Division standings with three games remaining in Lake Erie's 2015-16 regular season schedule.

After a scoreless opening frame, the Amerks built a 2-0 lead in the second period thanks to an even-strength Stu Wilson goal at 9:27 and a power-play strike from Giorgio Estephan at 14:57, the first professional tally in both players' respective careers.

Neither team managed a goal in the final stanza, as Rochester's Andrey Makarov stopped 30 pucks to earn his first shutout of the year and Lake Erie net-minder Joonas Korpisalo fell to 6-8-2 between the pipes for the Monsters this season despite making 13 saves on Sunday.

Next up for the Monsters, it's a Wednesday road clash vs. the Grand Rapids Griffins with full coverage, live from Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI, underway at 7:00 pm on ESPN 850 WKNR and the Monsters Hockey Network.
