Winnipeg ICE forward Matthew Savoie had three assists, to eclipse the 90 point mark this season, as the ICE beat the Prince Albert Raiders 4-1 Saturday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Zack Ostapchuk, Evan Friesen, Ben Zloty and Connor McClennon scored as Winnipeg set a new franchise record with their 54th win of the season. The WHL record of most wins by a team in a 68-game regular season schedule is 54, now shared by Winnipeg and the 2018-19 Raiders.
Carter Anderson had the lone goal for Prince Albert, who were outshot 27-20.
Daniel Hauser earned his 36th win of the season in net for the ICE. He is now tied with Wyatt Hoflin (2014-15) for the most wins by a goaltender in franchise history.
Tikhon Chaika suffered the loss between the pipes for P.A.
The ICE finished the game 2/5 on the power play while the Raiders went 1/4.
The two teams play again Sunday afternoon at 5:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
