Ice Pilots sign enforcer David Ambler

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that forward David Ambler has signed a contract with the team.

Ambler, who stands 6'1 and weighs 210 pounds, played in 27 games with Adirondack of the UHL this season scoring 4 goals, 2 assists for 6 points picking up 120 penalty minutes. He played in 74 games last year with Motor City and Muskegon in the UHL scoring 5 goals, 8 assists for 13 points picking up 314 penalty minutes.

Ambler played in 64 games for Ice Pilots Head Coach George Dupont in Tupelo of the WPHL during the 2000-2001 season scoring 3 goals, 3 assists for 6 points picking up 206 penalty minutes. He also has played for Lubbock and El Paso in the CHL, Laval in the QSPHL, Antigonish and Charlottetown in the MJAHL and with Barrie in the OHL.

Ambler, who is 26 years old, is from Westport, Ontario and shoots left.

The Ice Pilots will host the Phoenix RoadRunners tonight and tomorrow night at the Pensacola Civic Center at 7:05 p.m. Baptist Health Care will sponsor an intermission during the game tomorrow night. The Ice Pilots will also recognize the "Voice of the Ice Pilots" Paul Chestnutt during the intermission as he will be broadcasting his last Ice Pilots game tomorrow night.
