Published on February 2, 2006 under ECHL (ECHL) News Release
PRINCETON, N.J. - Marc Magliarditi of the Las Vegas Wranglers became only
the third goaltender in ECHL history to reach 200 wins when he posted a 6-5
shootout win at Idaho on Jan. 27.
Magliarditi needs one win to move into a tie for second place with Daniel
Berthiaume, who had 201 wins in nine ECHL seasons with Wheeling, Roanoke
and Greensboro from 1994-2004. The career leader for wins is Toledo coach
Nick Vitucci, who had 265 wins in 13 ECHL seasons with Carolina,
Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Hampton Roads, Toledo, Charlotte and Greenville
from 1988-2001.
Magliarditi is 20-6-3 marking the sixth time in his ECHL career that he has
won 20 games which ranks him third behind Vitucci and Berthiaume, who each
won 20 games seven times. He is tied for the league lead in wins and ranks
second in shutouts with three. He is third in the ECHL with 1,723 minutes
and four shootout wins while he is fifth with a goals-against average of
2.51.
In his ninth professional season overall and his third with Las Vegas, the
29-year-old is 200-102-25 in 340 career ECHL games and is the ECHL career
leader with 25 shutouts.
Magliarditi has played 19,619 minutes in the ECHL which ranks him behind
Vitucci (27,291) and Berthiaume (20,792) while his 340 career games is
fourth behind Vitucci (479), Jason Saal (455) and Berthiaume (364).
