Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs (9-8-2) suffered their worst loss of the season, falling hard to the Fresno Falcons (7-9-1) by a score of 5-0. The loss extended the Ice Dogs winless streak to six games, going 0-4-2 in that span.

It was the second time this season the Ice Dogs have been shutout at home, and the sixth straight start for goalie Olivier Michaud who is still filling in for the injured Chris Madden. The game was scoreless after the first period, and the Ice Dogs appeared to be knocking on the Falcons door, out-shooting them 21-4 after one. However, the Falcons took a 3-0 lead after two periods, with goals by Dan Tessier and two by Shaun Sutter.

The third period added insult to injury as Sutter completed a hat trick and Brett Jaeger earned the shutout making 39 saves. Michaud finished with 19 saves for the game as his record fell to 1-7-2.

The Ice Dogs next game is Friday, December 10 versus the Greenville Grrrowl. It will be the first ever matchup between the two teams and the third game of a four-game home-stand for Long Beach. For ticket information, call (562) ICE DOGS or visit www.icedogs.com.
