Grrrowl make roster adjustments

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced that forward ED CARON has been placed on the injured reserve list after suffering a leg injury on Friday night in Gwinnett as the Grrrowl played the Gladiators. Caron is a contracted player assigned to the Grrrowl from the Edmonton Oilers. In 18 games this season, Caron has tallied 10 points (7G, 3A), and is second in the league rookie stats for shooting percentage with 7 goals on 33 shots (.212).

The Grrrowl have added JOEL PETKOFF (6-1, 190lbs., center) to the roster in time for Sunday afternoon's game with the Augusta Lynx at the BI-LO Center (3:05pm start). Petkoff has played in 15 games this season with the Asheville (NC) Aces of the SPHL, totaling 13 points (4G, 9A) and 15 penalty minutes.

Greenville has lost two consecutive games via the shootout on the last shot of the competition. Gwinnett defeated the Grrrowl 3-2 on Friday night, and the South Carolina Stingrays edged Greenville in Charleston on Saturday night, 4-3.

The Grrrowl return to the BI-LO Center to face the Augusta Lynx on Sunday (12/5) at 3:05pm, before leaving on a 5-game west coast swing.
