
Escobedo Placed On Injured Reserve

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi general manager and coach Bob Woods announced today that Sea Wolves defenseman Brian Escobedo (EHS-coh-bee-doh) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.
Escobedo, 22, has appeared in seven games with Mississippi this season, collecting three assists, two penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +1. The 6-foot and 180-pound Escobedo is in his rookie season of professional hockey after beginning the campaign with Peoria of the ECHL, where he registered an assist in two games. A native of Bayside, New York, Escobedo was signed by the Sea Wolves as a free agent on November 16.
Mississippi begins a season-high six-game road trip beginning in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for the first of three games against the Salmon Kings at 9 p.m. CT on Friday, December 10 at Bear Mountain Arena in Colwood, B.C.
The Sea Wolves next home game is at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22 against the Charlotte Checkers at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
