Matthew Savoie, Ty Nash and Evan Friesen scored power play goals as the Winnipeg ICE finished the night three for seven in a 4-1 victory over the Prince George Cougars.

Owen Pederson also found the back of the net as the ICE improved their record to 7-1.

Winnipeg had a 1-0 lead after the first period and a 4-0 advantage through 40 minutes.

Ryker Singer broke the shutout bid of goaltender Daniel Hauser with 2:09 remaining.

The ICE outshot the Cougars 34-28.

Prince George goaltender Ty Young made 17 of 21 saves. Tyler Brennan stopped all 13 shots he faced in relief over the final 24:48.

Winnipeg continues their road trip Tuesday in Victoria. The Fort Garry Brewing Company pregame show on CFRW 1290 gets underway at 8:30pm.
